Ferðaþjónustan Dæli í Víðidal hefur verið rekin, við góðan orðstír, frá árinu 1988. Í Dæli er boðið upp á fjölbreytta aðstöðu og afþreyingu fyrir ferðamenn af ýmsu tagi, bæði einstaklinga og hópa. Erum nýbúin að opna Kaffihús KAFFI SVEITÓ, bjóðum upp á kaffi og heimabakaðar kökur. Dæli Holiday Farm Dæli (Holiday farm since 1988) offers a variety of accommodation and activities for both groups and the individual traveller. On the next pages you can read more about our services. Rooms with private facilities We offer 6 twin/double rooms with private facilities. Two of those rooms are family rooms, with a sleeping loft, which offer a good solution for families and friends travelling together. The Old Farmhouse „Gamli Bær“ – Rooms without private facilities. Gamli Bær is a small and cosy little guesthouse. On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms and a bathroom. On the second floor you will find a kitchen and a living room. Huts – Sleeping bag accommodation Sleeping bag accommodation is sold in 6 small huts next to the camping ground. Each house is 12 m² and has 2 bunker beds (4 beds), table, chairs and a WC with cold water. Cooking facilities and showers can be found in a service house nearby. The huts, which are very popular for family reunions and other gatherings, are a good and affordable choice for those who are looking for a low prized accommodation. Service House The Service House was built in 1997 and is about 73 m². There you will find a kitchen, a large dining room and WC/showers for both men and women. Outside there is a patio with tables, chairs and barbeques (charcoal). A playground for the children is situated nearby. Camping ground Our camping ground has plenty of space for campers and tents of all shapes and sizes. Cooking facilities, showers and toilets can be found in the Service House (see above). Several electricity outlets are on the camping site. Cottage „Eyrin“ This cosy cottage has one bedroom with a double bed, a sleeping loft, living room (with a sleeping sofa), a small kitchen and a bathroom. The patio has tables, chairs and a charcoal barbeque. “Kaffi Sveitó” Restaurant and Bar Kaffi Sveitó restaurant and bar offers a variety of delicious food and refreshing drinks. Check out our menu for further information. Hot tub and sauna Our guests have access to a small hot tub and a sauna for a moderate prize. For further information please ask at the reception. Mini Golf Our mini golf is open for everyone free of charge. Clubs and balls can be rented at the reception for a moderate price. Hiking to Steinbogi Waterfall and Kolugljúfur Canion A marked hiking path (1 ½ - 2 hours walk)) is from Dæli to Steinbogi Waterfall, up by Víðidalsfjall Mountain. Steinbogi or Stone Arc (direct translation) is a small waterfall with a natural stone bridge. The hike, which is quite easy, offers variety of birdlife and a beautiful view. The hike to Kolugljúfur Canion is about 5 km long (one way) along the road. It can also be reached by car. The canion, which is situated south of Dæli (in the bottom of the valley), is a spectacular place to visit and will leave no one disappointed.
